Neuweiler Brewery

I took a ride over the weekend to see what I could find not really having a plan [ as one of my favorite photographer often does] so my first stop was Allentown,Pa and the Old Neuweiler Brewery. This building dates back to the early 1900's with a 6 story brew house and several other buildings, they closed in 1968 and the building has been just sitting there falling apart.

But by the looks of it that will change with the new year came a buyer that will rescue this property and restore this once great building.Ruckus Brewing from NYC has bought the property and has a real good plan to turn this building back to great form.

20 Plus Years

I wrote this a while ago and wanted to include in my blog's history,it has been 5 years since they closed  and it has been a up and down road I have learned about some labor laws they I never knew of.Here is what I wrote about about a year ago.

Have walked thru this doors for 20 years many good days and many bad days, made some friends and not so many,Had alot of great times and laughed alot and played some pranks but also work my ass off even when it was 150 deg in the summer and froze when it was 10 outside.
I have seen some bad things and some smells that would make most people sick and not to forget it is where my lower back will never be the same for the rest of my life.
Then on a what seemed to be a nice May day is when my life changed and then 5 months later it was time to say goodbye to some people I have grown up with and that was alot tougher then I thought it would be.
This was done by Greedy CEO'S and Upper Management yes men still to this day not really sure how someone can lay there head down at night.

Tavern Tan Rock and Roll /Blues Band

We first saw these guys about 3 years ago at the Allentown Blues,Brews and BBQ and have been hooked on there music ever since. We have seen them at many different places mostly small little clubs and BBQ joints the one that stick's out the most is The Fun House in the Southside Bethlehem,Pa it is what they call a dive bar and it is a very small bar but you really get up and close with the musician that way.

We have been busy with work and just everyday life stuff we haven't seen them in a while and I'm getting the itch to see them again.
